Welcome to our 4 week blocks of Online Antenatal Classes; Covering everything from birth to post natal health & what to expect with your new addition.

3 weeks of the 4 week block will be over zoom, with the 3rd being in-person at Merry Go Round. We have 4 practitioners who can guide you through all aspects of your journey towards parenthood.

The classes will last approximately 1 hour as well as a 15 minute Q&A for you to ask your hosts any questions you may have. There will be with a maximum of 8 couples per block. We will also facilitate you all having a social aspect to the group to allow you to meet other new parents who are facing a labour and newborn period.

So, come join us from the comfort of your sofa, slouchies and get yourself prepped for the arrival of your wee one.

The class structure is as follows:

Class 1: An hour long class with a frontline Midwife Amanda Young to describe how birth works, how your body changes and to help you through how to make birthing a positive experience.

Class 2: A group session with breastfeeding counsellor Margaret Rowbory to learn the basics on breastfeeding and how to encourage a successful start to your feeding journey.

Class 3: In the events space at Merry Go Round, this is our opportunity to meet each other, try some practical skills class and the “no such thing as a stupid question class”. We want to facilitate your group being in touch outwith the class as a support network once the babies are here, so we’ll spend a bit of time allowing you to start getting to know each other as you take this journey together and we will also be able to do some demos on bathing, safe sleeping, taking temperatures, swaddling and any other wonderful baby things you’re hoping to learn.
Class 4:
This session is hosted by Lorraine Lowrie who is a Health/Education Midwife, Lorraine gives insight in to how to manage your post-natal journey - what to expect for yourselves and your babies.

Bonus Content: Dad’s are encouraged to join the antenatal classes, however, there is 1 thing especially for them too. An online - 2 evening course, run by a Dad - for Dads-to-be. The link for this will be sent out at the end of our antenatal course.
