Financial and non financial donations

Financial and non financial donations

There are many ways to support our mission either financially, with stock of maternity, baby and children's goods, or with other items to help our running.

Payroll Giving

If you want to make a regular donation, payroll giving is a great way to do it. It's easy to set up, it's automatic, and because it's tax-free, it means your donation can go even further!

When you opt for payroll giving, your employer directs funds from your salary to Merry-go-round before tax deductions. This approach ensures that the tax you would otherwise pay on your donation is redirected to support our cause. This has no additional cost for you, and once it’s set up you don’t have to do anything else.

For Merry-go-round, regular contributions play an important role. It allows us to plan more effectively, and divert fundraising resources elsewhere knowing that there is a regular donation stream. It even allows us to plan for long term initiatives and growth.

Stock Donation

Merry-go-round’s shop and carousel programme relies solely on donations. We are always very grateful for donations of quality items that we can rehome. We take just about everything maternity to age 5 including clothing, toys, furniture, prams and electricals. Check our donations pages for more information.

Donating goods directly supports our work but it also creates a positive environmental impact by keeping items in circulation for longer.

You could create a donation station at your workplace for children’s goods in good condition that your employees no longer need. We can help with signage and information to make it clear what we can accept, what happens to the items, and what impact it makes.

Surplus Stock & Return Scheme

If your business has a surplus of baby and maternity items, why not rehome them to Merry-go-round? By redirecting these items to our cause, you provide valuable support to Glasgow families, and ensure the products serve a meaningful purpose.

It’s a great way to promote a less wasteful, more climate-friendly, circular economy, while also supporting the community with low cost, or free items.
